ACES Life-Threatening Allergy Prevention and Management Plan
Dear ACES Families;
ACES Life-Threatening Allergy Prevention and Management Plan has recently been revised. You can read the complete plan on our website: http://www.aces.org. Whether or not your child has a life-threatening allergy, please familiarize yourself with it.
In particular, please be aware of these modifications to previous practice:
Students may not share or trade food with others.
Parents/guardians should not bring or send food into school for any student other that their own.
These changes are in accordance with Connecticut State Statutes and guidelines, and are intended to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of our students. If you have questions about options for celebrations at school that don’t involve using food, please speak to your child’s teacher about appropriate ideas.
If your child has an allergy that the school doesn’t know about, or if you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
